This male mute swan flaps his wings joyfully after a cleaning. His mate and young are just out of camera to the right. Soon after I shot this image, they swam closer together and one of the young dove under him in the water. This father swan gave a honk that clearly translated across species as an annoyed "Stop that, will you?"
